Product Overview
KHL-P1500 Laser Spot Heating System is a kilowatt-level laser heating solution designed for high-temperature material research, localized rapid thermal loading, heat treatment process development, and material performance testing. The system utilizes a 1500 W-class laser source, delivering energy via fiber optics and precision optical focusing components to concentrate power on the target area. This enables non-contact, high-speed, high-energy-density localized heating. Compared to traditional methods like resistance furnaces or infrared radiation, laser spot heating offers precise control over the heated zone, minimal thermal impact, rapid升温 rates, and seamless integration with temperature monitoring and automation systems. It is ideal for simulating and studying extreme thermal environments in advanced materials.

Product Type
How it works
The system employs a 1500 W laser heat source. Laser energy is transmitted via fiber optics and concentrated on the target area through high-precision optical focusing components, enabling non-contact, high-speed, high-energy-density localized heating. The equipment supports both flat-top and Gaussian beam profiles and can be configured with circular, rectangular, or homogenized spots. It integrates temperature detection modules using infrared pyrometers, thermal cameras, or thermocouples to achieve high-speed closed-loop control that matches laser power to real-time target temperature.
The system comprises five core modules: laser source, optical focusing, temperature sensing, control, and mechanical interface. It supports continuous output and power modulation modes and can be either fixed-installed or integrated into experimental platforms. Compared to traditional methods like resistance furnaces or infrared heating, laser spot heating offers precise control over the heated area, a minimal heat-affected zone, and rapid heating rates. This enables seamless integration with motion stages, material testing machines, and thermo-mechanical coupling systems to perform dynamic thermal loading experiments.
Important Notice:The typical temperature range is 800~1800℃, depending on material absorptivity and operating conditions. Formal projects shall follow the agreed test conditions and acceptance criteria.

Usage and Safety Instructions
- ⚠Strong visible and infrared radiation is emitted during operation. Do not look directly at the light source or focus area. Use appropriate eye and radiation protection equipment.
- ⚠The sample, heating head tip, and surrounding structures may be hot. Install heat guards and allow adequate cooldown time after power-off.
- ⚠Keep the air-cooled channel clear. Do not operate continuously if cooling is abnormal, the reflector surface is contaminated, or electrical connections are loose.
- ⚠Infrared temperature readings are affected by emissivity, angle, and spot size coverage. For highly reflective metals, combine with thermocouples or use a calibrated measurement solution.
- ⚠For adhesives, coatings, and materials that may emit volatiles, evaluate ventilation, smoke extraction, and fire safety conditions.
Product Value
Energy is applied directly to the target location, delivering fast response and precise control that traditional heating methods cannot achieve. With a compact structure, closed-loop controllability, and modular integration, it provides a complete thermal loading solution for material testing and advanced manufacturing.
Energy Distribution Diagram

Figure 3Gaussian Beam Energy Density Profile: Energy density follows a Gaussian distribution from the center outward, with peak intensity at the center gradually tapering toward the edges. The central region reaches high temperatures, making it ideal for localized melting and drilling applications with minimal heat-affected zones.

Figure 4Flat-top laser spot energy density map: Energy is uniformly distributed within the spot with a sharp drop-off at the edges. The uniform energy region is controllable, making it ideal for uniform heating, surface treatment, annealing, sintering, and other applications.
Note: The illustration shows a typical beam energy density distribution; actual distributions may vary slightly due to optical system and measurement conditions.
