KHQ-P100 Quartz Lamp Point Heater

Product Overview
In scientific testing and precision machining, many tasks require heating only specific areas of a specimen. Using a full furnace often heats fixtures, sensors, and surrounding structures simultaneously, leading to long warm-up times and potential thermal deformation or measurement errors. The KHQ-P100 is a medium-power focused infrared point heater designed for material testing, precision manufacturing, and localized heat treatment. By combining quartz halogen lamp sources with a focused reflector structure, it concentrates 500 W-level radiant heat onto designated specimen areas. Ideal for rapid heating, localized temperature control, cyclic thermal loading, and equipment integration.
Product Positioning
100 W concentrated heat input
Supports small-sample conditions with higher temperatures, faster heating rates, and larger thermal loads.
Local Focus
Heat concentrates on the target area, reducing unnecessary heating of the fixture and surrounding structures.
Product Type
How it works
After power-on, the quartz halogen lamp's filament rapidly heats up, emitting radiation primarily in the near-infrared and short-wave infrared spectra. The reflective focusing assembly collects and redirects this energy, concentrating it at a set working distance to create a localized heating zone on the sample surface.
Unlike traditional furnaces that rely on air convection for gradual heat transfer, infrared radiation directly targets the sample surface, eliminating waiting time caused by intermediate media. By adjusting lamp power, heating distance, and spot position, you can control the sample's heating rate, target temperature, and thermal affected area.
Core Advantages
From centralized heat input to flexible integration, meeting multi-scenario needs for material testing, precision manufacturing, and localized heat treatment.
500 W concentrated heat input
Compared to low-power micro-zone heat sources, it delivers higher radiative heat input to the target area, making it suitable for experiments requiring higher target temperatures, larger mass samples, or faster heating rates.
Localized focus reduces peripheral thermal impact
The focused structure concentrates light energy on the target area, reducing unnecessary heating of fixtures, connectors, sensors, and surrounding components.
Fast start/stop is ideal for dynamic hot reloading.
Quartz halogen lamps have low thermal inertia, enabling rapid initiation and termination of radiant output. Ideal for short-cycle heating, intermittent heating, repeated thermal cycling, and temperature disturbance testing.
Non-contact cleaning and heating
Non-contact heating between the probe and specimen minimizes indentations, contamination, wear, and contact heat transfer errors. Ideal for precision components, sensitive elements, and coated surfaces.
Closed-loop temperature control (optional)
Configurable thermocouple, infrared thermometer, or dual-channel temperature measurement system with PID control for lamp power to achieve target temperature regulation, holding, over-temperature protection, and programmed thermal loading.
Easy to integrate
The heating head can be mounted on a fixed bracket, lift platform, three-axis motion stage, or robotic arm end-effector. It is compatible with tensile testers, fatigue machines, fixtures, and data acquisition systems for synchronized operation.

Usage and Safety Instructions
- ⚠Strong visible and infrared radiation is emitted during operation. Do not look directly at the light source or focus area. Use appropriate eye and radiation protection equipment.
- ⚠The sample, heating head tip, and surrounding structures may be hot. Install heat guards and allow adequate cooldown time after power-off.
- ⚠Keep the air-cooled channel clear. Do not operate continuously if cooling is abnormal, the reflector surface is contaminated, or electrical connections are loose.
- ⚠Infrared temperature readings are affected by emissivity, angle, and spot size coverage. For highly reflective metals, combine with thermocouples or use a calibrated measurement solution.
- ⚠For adhesives, coatings, and materials that may emit volatiles, evaluate ventilation, smoke extraction, and fire safety conditions.
